Hi, I’m Amber McCarthy, the proud founder of Amber’s Dachshund Care. For as long as I can remember, dogs have been a central part of my life. But it was my first dachshund, a little red mini named Ruby, who stole my heart and inspired me to dedicate my life to breeding these incredible dogs.
At Amber’s Dachshund Care, my mission is simple: to raise healthy, well-socialized dachshund puppies that bring joy and companionship to their forever families. I believe that every puppy deserves the best start in life, and I pour my heart into ensuring that each one is loved, cared for, and ready to thrive in their new home.

My journey as a breeder began over 15 years ago when I brought Ruby home. Her spunky personality, unwavering loyalty, and endless affection showed me just how special dachshunds are. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of raising many dachshunds, each with their own unique quirks and charms. What started as a personal passion quickly grew into a professional calling. I became a certified breeder, studied canine genetics and health, and committed myself to ethical breeding practices. Today, I’m proud to be a trusted name in the dachshund community, known for my dedication to quality, transparency, and the well-being of my dogs.

They’re surrounded by love, attention, and plenty of playtime with people and other dogs. This early socialization ensures they grow into confident, well-adjusted companions.
